Marine hermit crab died?
my marine hermit crab just died, about an hr before it died i noticed it seemed lifeless, and not retracting back into its shell.
then it fell out of shell and died.
the saltwater had a complete check from the fish store with everything perfect just the day before.
my tank has algae for it to graze on, i did not target feed the crab figuring it has plenty of natural food on the rock.
i also thought it might be molting, but when it fell out of its shell and the antennas not moving for another hr i figured it was dead.
i also have plenty of shells that the crab could change into
i also have fish and non of them appear to have any illness
the hermit crab was about 2 inches
does anyone have any ideas

If it’s dead it’s dead sorry and all but there’s no way to make it come back to life. If you want another crab then go to a pet store tomorrow and buy 2. (just in case)
