Mic Big
What kind of mic should I use to record vocals and my acousitc guitar at the same time?
I don’t necessarily need something of great-great quality (cost is my biggest issue). I just want something that will record both my vocals and my guitar all at one time. I had a mic that did this pretty well but it broke and its a 20 year old mic – no longer made, so i cant replace it.

In your case, the Shure 57, SM-57, is the way to go.
The 58 is mainly a vocal mic.
The 57 is great for mikeing drums, guitar amps, acoustics, and I use it for my vocal mic when playing live. Great mic…extremely durable.
You’ll never regret buying this mic….about 1 bill or less, but I have seen it for around $89.
Well worth the price…don’t go any cheaper.

Moses Malone, Calvin Natt, Bobby Jones, Mychal Thompson, Michael Cooper and Jamaal Wilkes were sporting them on the court, but Adidas ruled the streets. Old schoolers such as LL Cool J and Ice-T rocked Adidas shoes.
RUN DMC were the ones responsible for making the Adidas Superstar a cultural statement. All in all, RUN DMC sang 10 songs referencing Adidas shoes. They proved that the trend of rapping about clothing and jewelry didn’t just start recently. Even the pioneers of hip hop gave a shout out to their kicks!
Nowadays, it’s all about Air Force Ones. Nike’s dedication to the athlete has slowly made it to the streets. And now, the Air Force Ones are now the the most coveted shoe in Hip Hop. Nike has also listened to their customers. They kept the design on the outside constant, but improved the construction on the inside.
Evidence that these kicks are hot on the streets are how many hip hop songs reference them. In 2002, Nelly, Murphy Lee, and Paul Wall rapped in a song named “Air Forces Ones” and it was a huge hit. T.I., who many call the next big thing, the next Jay-Z, also has a song called, “My Air Force Ones”.
Other big name rappers that sport Air Force Ones include The Game, Jay-Z, and Xzhibit. The shoes are definitely enjoying their greatest success right now. So keep your ears peeled for shoe references in your favorite songs!
