How do I stop a wall mounted punch bag from swinging so much?
I have a wall mounted punch bag but it often hits the wall when I practice crosses. Aside from the wear and tear on the bag, the swing also puts a load on the fitting.
The bag has a ring at the bottom so presumably I can buy a fitting to hang weights from it or attach it to the floor. Anybody know where I can get such a fitting?
I believe there’s a bungee-type rope that auto returns the bag to the perpendicular position. It should hook into the ring you’re mentioning. My heavybag stand has hooks at the bottom so you can bungee the bag to the base, and reduce sway. Why can’t you punch the bag from an angle in which it won’t hit the wall?
