Recommendation for comfortable, durable, good sound quality headset/headphone?
I’m trying to get a new,better, headset/headphone because my old ones always broke down easily. I’m looking for one that’s comfortable,durable, with excellent sound quality, and doesn’t hurt my ear when i use it for a long time(most important). It doesn’t have to be good for mobility as I’m mostly going to use it for film editing, music, gaming, and internet phone; without disturbing my other roommates. It could be either a headset or just headphone, though i’d like it to have a durable mic if it’s a headset because that seems to be the part that break down most often.
P.S. Noise canceling isn’t require, but i don’t mind. And price is not much of an issue though i still want it to be around $100-$300, since i hope to use it for a long time.
My favorite headphones to use both personally and professionally are the Sony MDR-7506. They are extremely comfortable, durable, have excellent bass response and sound awesome. We used them exclusively for any field recording we had to do, and they faced a ton of abuse without a problem.
I’ve seen them for sale both at the Sony Store and professional music supply stores, where I got mine. They are available at around $130. Their big brother the MDR-7509HD go for $200.
