can i fit an antenna to my vodafone dongle?
i have a vodafone pay as you go e160 dongle for my laptop. it does not have a jack for an antenna. is there any way i can fit a socket in order to connect an antenna. i opened it up and found what looks like a a small jack socket close to the micro sd slot, any ideas.
You could try putting a small piece of wire in and if the signal improves you know that’s the built in antenna. And then you could solder and make some kind of antenna to it.
Ive done the same kind of thing to my car alarm remote, i soldered some wire to the transmitter, and coiled it up inside the key fob and it worked, gave me about another 20meteres range.
