Radio Transceiver
Ive just bought a Midland alan42 cb transceiver and am unable to pick anything up-is anyone using a cb in kent
does anyone use the cb radio in the Kent area? Am I not receiving anything because I need a better aerial? help! it wasnt like this when I used a cb in the 80’s
With the advent of cell phones, the use of CB’s has dropped dramatically, the best you can do to get other enthusiasts is to be on at the right time and use the correct equipment, sometimes even the cheapest matched equipment can get you people from many upon many miles away. Your best bet is to try reaching people at dusk or late night when the atmosphere reflects radio waves more readily and there is less solar flare interference.
