Is there a place where I can buy the Motorola Walkie Talkie phones like the Nextel phones but unlocked?
I live in Dubai and we have Push To Talk service. I haven’t found a good phone with PTT. I want Motorola and I wanted to know if I buy an unlocked version, will it work in Dubai?
Is there anyway I can use the Motorola iDEN phones with GSM? Dubai has 3G service but I don’t know if helps. What do you suggest?
It will only work there IF your service is iDEN. Nextel’s phones are iDEN and will only work with another iDEN provider if unlocked. If your service is GSM, it will not work.
EDIT: No. iDEN and GSM are not compatible technologies. iDEN phones can only be used with an iDEN provider, and GSM phones can only be used with a GSM provider.
