polar ice caps?
i am crazy but ill ask it ant way what happens if you could harness the magnetic fieild surrounding the polar ice caps and if it fell in to the wrong hands would that be wrong would you be concidard a god or just crazy lol
At the moment the energy from the magnetic field creates a shield around the earth that protects us from solar radiation and other nasty stuff. I expect it also helps in stabilizing the atmosphere to some degree as well. So if you did divert that energy to other purposes then the effects would be similar to putting the earth in a microwave oven. Even underground you maybe safe for a little bit longer, but will still end up getting cooked.
You would receive an extraordinary amount of energy for you proposes, if you had any sense then it would be in looking for another planet to live because this one would be dead.
