ham radio general license
does any one know where i can get a free study guid for a general level ham radio license? please respond ASAP
There is no free guide really, but there is loads of info on Ham radio at www.arrl.org and at www.qrz.com they have the actual word for word questions that will appear on the tests you take, you will need to start with the Technician class exam. They have practice exams on qrz.com that you can take to see where you need to study up. I suggest you go check out your local library for a book, or visit ARRL and purchase one of their books, very good books, or www.w5yi.com also has books. You can also check on amazon or ebay for a current book, sometimes folks will sell one after they are finished with it.
If you can pass the practice tests on QRZ.com 10 times in a row and make atleast a 90 on all of them, I would consider you ready to pass the real exam, it costs I believe $12 to take the test, that covers the cost of processing and filing your info with the FCC so you get a Ham license.
