I am interested in becoming a HAM radio operator, could someone tell me how to get started in this hobby ??????
I'm not so interested in the cost or whatever, but any information would be great, I was wondering how to get the license and all that.
Go to www.arrl.org. This is the site main site for ham operators. There is a lot of information there. If you want to study for the exam, you can go to www.qrz.com and practice tests. The test is free, but there is a $ 14 administrative fee. In fact, you can use ham radio via the Internet through a program called "eco link. You can find places arrl.org test. This means American Radio Relay League. My daughter is just 12 years abd passed the test a month ago.
