Battery Pack
Is putting the battery pack to the laptop always when switched on good or not?
I worry that never detaching battery pack from the laptop would reduce the battery lifespan or may cause damage to laptop especially when it is already fully charged and power supply is in used. Somebody advised me to remove it when it’s already fully charged cause i’m using the power cord anyway. Please help!
You could remove the battery for days at a time if it was plugged in and increase the life of your battery by a small amount. You should use it on battery once or twice a week to the point of low battery warning is also advice.
In reality, most of the good things you can do (vs just using the thing and not thinking about it) will increase the life maybe 10%-20%. Is that worth the trouble to you? This laptop is moved around a lot during the day, both on battery and plugged in. The battery does not come out when it is plugged in. I’m a “just use it” person, other than I do recommend (and usually actually do it on mine) unplugging it when not in use for longer periods. Overnight etc. Even that is said to not be NECESSARY.
