Why have I gotten a shock when I listen to music with my ear-bud headphones?
Sometimes when I am listening to music I get shocked in the ear by my ear-buds. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Why would this happen (and its always in the left ear)?
Yeah, it’s happened to me before.
It’s just static, which is why it happens mostly in the winter.
Also, for me, it usually happens when putting on or removing my coat, running, or anything else that usually gives me static.
Some ideas that may help:
- Run a little hand lotion down the length of the cord.
- Whenever you are doing static-generating things (like I mentioned above), wet your fingers a little, then hold the cord near your ears.
